SAN DIEGO — November 7, 2026. A free, approximately ten-minute aerial drone show is planned for Friday, November 13, over the water near Embarcadero Marina Park North, according to a new Port of San Diego environmental notice.
What the display would involve
The event plan describes approximately 300 drones launched from the southeast curved edge of the park, with the performance taking place above the adjacent water. The drones would be recovered at the launch location. The notice lists a one-day schedule with setup beginning around noon and cleanup later that evening, but it does not provide a confirmed public showtime.
Temporary access restrictions
Organizers plan a limited safety perimeter using cones around the staging and flight area. The restricted section of the path and nearby water could be closed for approximately 30 minutes: ten minutes before the show, the display itself and ten minutes afterward. Other nearby park areas are expected to remain open.
Viewing and safety
The Port says the show would be publicly viewable without admission. A safety boat and observers are planned as part of the operation, subject to applicable FAA requirements. Residents should confirm the final showtime and any changes through Port announcements; the notice itself is not a guarantee the display will proceed regardless of weather or approvals.
